Yarny Goodness!

Another super exciting fun knitblog

  • November Knit Goals

I'm prone to being a scatterbrain, so I try to make a short list of things to accomplish each month (lest I have 27 different non matching socks).

Same as last month: Sleep more. Study more. Knit more. Sleep more.

FO: Mock Cable Hat

Posted by Amber on July 29, 2007

Pattern: The Won’t Get You Mocked Mock Cable Hat [yes, I had too much fun naming this one]

Yarn: Karabella Aurora 8 Space Dyed, #15; 2 balls (but really 1.5)

Needles: US 7

Gauge: ~4.5 spi

Notes: I’ve been wanting to make this yarn into a hat like this for … many months. First I did it top down and overestimated how big it needed to be – and it was much more sack like. Not good for a hat. So I ripped and let it sit for a while. While really bored with all my other projects last weekend, I decided to cast on again. It didn’t take very long – just two evenings. (I love quick hats that way. Beginners should be encouraged to make more hats. There’s no burn out!)

Very cute! That will be great for the winter. Is that a Lexie Barnes bag in the background?
