Stitches East: Year 2 Recap
Posted by Amber on October 16, 2007
I had been seriously doubting that I’d go to Stitches this year, but then a whole big host of things drove me to it. Actually, my blogless friend Stephanie drove me to it, but in a different way.
Traffic getting out of DC was a horrible, horrible mess. It took us two whole hours to get from Stephanie’s house in Arlington to the parking lot in Baltimore. It’s like, Baltimore is taunting me even when I’m not going for work everyday!
Anyway, much fun was had, and much yarn was purchased:

Tess Designer Yarns: Superwash Merino
560 yards / hank x 2 hanks. I cast on for Wicked on Sunday morning. My hands are turning blueish purple from the bleeding dye.

Ellen’s Half Pint Farm (.com!) 50/50 superwash/tencel blend sock yarn. It’s more candy-grape in real life

Hand Painted Knitting Yarns.com 50/50 merino tencel blend sock in “Fidelio”

Maple Creek Farm (.com) 50/50 wool bamboo in “purple”
… so as you can see, I’m going to be making socks for a while!

I’m in the homestretch for Wicked now (with the pocket) what a fun knit! I may be looking for yarn suggestions to do it again!
